The agency consists of the following five divisions: Naval Systems, Air Systems, Land Systems, Communication Information Systems (CIS) and General Materiel.
The NDMA’s Naval Systems Division is responsible for the procurement and management of the Norwegian Navy’s vessels and systems.
When Norway buys new P-8 surveillance aircrafts, F-35 fighter planes or AW101 helicopters, it is the NDMA’s Air Systems Division that evaluates, orders, purchases and manages them.
The NDMA’s Land Systems Division is responsible for a large number of different military vehicles, ranging from tanks to light utility vehicles.
CIS Division helps ensure that the Norwegian Armed Forces have well-functioning, relevant and up-to-date CIS solutions, and has overall responsibility for CIS in Norway’s armed forces.
General Materiel Systems Division
The General Materiel Systems Division takes care of our troops’ fundamental equipment needs: the equipment each serviceman or woman carries on and about them.
